History was made at the Rio today as Event 2 broke the record for number of entrants in a preliminary event. The $1,500 buy-in attracted a minefield of amateurs and pros vying for the first No Limit Hold’em bracelet of the Series. Day 1a of the tournament brought in 2,046 players and Day 1b is only 450 away from selling out and bringing the entire field to almost 4,000.
