Alexandre Gomes came from behind to win the $2000 No Limit Holdem event at the 2008 World Series of Poker, defeating Marco Johnson heads up for the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and $770,540. Marco Johnson is an accomplished online poker player and began cutting his teeth in live tournaments last year. Johnson has had some significant cashes in live poker, but this was his first real shot at a bracelet. With a big chip lead heads up, he got all-in against Gomes. Gomes had AT and Johnson had AA. T
